Call for Entries: Design a Wooden Flower for Inspire's "Blossoms & Blooms" Festival

Inspire Fine Art Center and Mahncke Park Neighborhood Association are hosting a community art festival on Saturday, April 14 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Called “Blossoms & Blooms,” this festive event will feature art activities for children and adults, live and silent auctions, art for sale by local artists, food booths and live music/entertainment. The event is free and open to the public.

Local artists are invited to design a wooden flower for the event’s live auction. Blank wooden flowers must be requested by Feb. 24 and must be delivered back to Inspire by April 11. All proceeds from the sale of the flowers will benefit Inspire’s community outreach programs. Artists also may reserve a booth for selling their own artwork that day. Art booths are $35.

The event will take place at Inspire and on Alberta Street between Queen Anne Court and Elmhurst (one block west of Broadway). “Blossoms & Blooms” is an officially sanctioned Mahncke Park Neighborhood Association event. Alberta Street will be closed to through traffic from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. that day.
