As part of the implementation of The Cultural Collaborative (TCC), The Office of Cultural Affairs is partnering with Disney Radio to promote arts education, along with the new arts website www.sahearts.com. Radio Disney is running on-air promotions all summer to encourage children and their parents to participate in the arts in San Antonio. The summer arts tour provides the opportunity for arts organizations and the community to come together to learn about the arts at area malls. Disney Radio provides music and dancing at each event, and up to four arts organizations may participate with hands on activities and/or performances. Children and their families receive a “passport” to visit each arts organization’s table and completed children with passports receive a bag of goodies from Radio Disney.

The Summer Arts Tour is a fun way to reach new audiences this summer. There is no charge to the arts organizations to participate.

Donna J. Tuttle
“A sculptor. A filmmaker. A composer. All three are nationally renowned, in the midst of producing and creating new art ... and live and work right here in San Antonio. Like many local artists, Donna Dobberfuhl, Ya' Ke Smith and Michael Patrick Twomey are better known outside of Texas boundaries for their award-winning creations. And like many small-business owners, these three are so busy sculpting, filming and composing that there's little time for strategic business planning and networking with other local artists. They live in that all-consuming art bubble.”
